review: PURA VIDA BRACELETS

Hey, sweeties!

Today I wanna talk to you about a brand called:

It is kind of a special bracelet/jewellery brand established in 2010 and every bracelet purchased helps provide full-time jobs for local artisans in Costa Rica.
The brand was founded by the two Southern California friends Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman. During a visit to a small community in Costa Rica, they crossed paths with two men named Jorge and Joaquin who were peddling bracelets on the street. The colorful bracelets were handmade in a simple way that seemed to capture the essence of their journey. Soon after Thall and Goodman returned to the States their friendship to Jorge and Joaquin blossomed into a full-fledged business relationship.
The phrase “Pura Vida” (pu·ra vi·da) means "pure life" in Spanish. The pura vida lifestyle is embodied by the enjoyment of a life lived slowly, the celebration of good fortune, and the refusal to take anything for granted. It's about being free and living life to the fullest.

Their Charity Collection was created to give back to charities all over the world through the sale of individual charity bracelets. In 2013 we were able to donate over $140,000 to 190+ charity organizations and the brand has only grown since then.  From the protection of our ocean habitats to cancer research, this wonderful company tries to support as many causes and organizations as possible.

I ordered my first pack of bracelets in January 2015 as a late Christmas present to myself and they arrived  surprisingly quick at my place (eventhough the shipping was just 10$!!).
The moment I opened the parcel was a good one, I was sitting on my sofa with a glass of red
wine.
Anyway, the quality of the bracelets is wonderful, like they look exactly like on the photos
on their homepage and each bracelet string is covered with a "plastic", a little bit sticky,
jacket to protect the bracelets from water, dirt etc.
I could leave them on 24/7 and they would still look beautiful after years.
As many of you may know, I work as a nurse, so I have to take the bracelets off whenever I go
to work, which brings me to another positive point of Pura Vida Bracelets. They have a special
clasp/ fastener (no knot needed), which allows you to take them off anytime and also
allows you to vary the different bracelet depending on mood and what you wanna represent.

I am so happy about the existence of this brand, I love wearing bracelets and I was so unhappy
when I had to take them all off when I started working, so having found this brand is my inner
14-year old screaming with joy and me wearing the bracelets with a huge smile on my face.

Man Overboard concert -- Outfit Post

 Hey, sweeties!

Just a small outfit post for now, but I am writing a big product review post for you, guys. I hope it will
be up tomorrow throughout the day!
As many of you may have realized over the years, I am a massive fan of music and go to every concert possible.
Tonight I am going to a concert of a band called "Man Overboard" and the concert is  in a small, really tiny venue called "B72" and so I am superstoked.
There will definitely be a few bruises on my skin tomorrow Moring.

What I am wearing:
  • black, studded jean vest by Forever21
  • a flowery muscle tank which is band merch of a band called OF MICE & MEN
  • black shorts by Forever21
  • light tights by Calzedonia
  • all-black Vans sneakers by Vans
Also, I am just bringing a light black cardigan with me, because the weather is supposed to stay at a max.
of 17°C this night and after all the jumping and dancing around at the concert I don't think I will feel cold.
I will be buzzing and feel warm from within, HA.

I wish all of you a wonderful evening, day, night (whatever time it is in your country) and enjoy
yourself!
xoxo Eva

Local Band/ Colliding Stars

Hey, sweeties!

Today I really wanna talk to you about a band called "Colliding Stars".
Well...as you might know, I am all about the music scene and supporting local bands.
It all started when I was 15 years or something like that. I love exploring the music scene and finding
new music, even better when the band plays anything in the Alternative Rock or Pop Punk/ Punk Rock
genre.
But who are Collding Stars?
They are three young musicians basically from the suburbs of the capital of Austria/Europe.
Formed in 2013, they released their first EP 'Open The Sky' - it reached 1# on the Austrian iTunes Rock Album Charts on the first day and 25# in the overall Album Charts. Which is freakin' amazing for a
little band. They say that Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, Billy Talent and Bad Suns are their influences (https://www.facebook.com/Collidingstarsband). In my opinion, they really remind me of
All Time Low in a cute way. They try really hard and in my opinion they still have a lot to learn, many
concerts to play until they are anywhere near their heroes. But before you're telling me that I should stop talking just negative things...there are many positive ones; all of them can play their instruments actually really good, they know what they are doing. Also, Danny, the lead singer, has a very special singing voice.
I don't think you've ever heard a voice like that. It took me some time to really get used to it...and at first to be honest I thought it was horrible, but then I realised that every note, every line in the song is so much
on point and that he has actually a great voice.
Which brings me to the fact that after the first time I've seen them live a few negative things about them acting on stage stung in my eye and I couldn't do anything else that writing them what they could improve.
There is always things to improve, I don't think any musician is perfect. They all fuck-up,
they all play wrong chords or forget their own lyrics. But hey, that's human...and I rather watch a band
play their own instruments and sing the songs they wrote themselves, that a band that was formed by a music management just for commercial purposes.
You can check them out here:
I will go to one of their concerts tonight, it's a band contest and I'm rather excited. I really hope that they took just one thing I told them to heart and try to do it like I told them. I know what I'm talking about...eventhough it might seem a little weird. But I had enough contact and interaction with musicians to know what it is all about.
Hope you're all having a wonderful day/evening!
xoxo Eva

Beautyflohmarkt Wien

Hey, sweeties!
Living in Vienna, in the capital of my home country, brings a lot of opportunities to me. One of them is
the so called "Beautyflohmarkt Wien", a second-hand market that was created by three bloggers and takes place twice a year. Well, basically it is a couple of bloggers (and a few private people) selling stuff, they don't use anymore (including designer stuff from Chanel and so on), to people for pretty good prices. The idea is great and I knew a few bloggers that sold stuff there from instagram. The idea was good and the thing had over 2k confirmations on facebook. I went there for the first time....and was disappointed. You can't even say that I've been there, 'cause when I got to the store where it took place, a police guy (which was the nastiest person ever) told me that the BMFW was over. I was confused and asked someone else at the door and they told me that due to technical circumstances they had to stop the thing around 2 hours after starting it. Well, and that was it. Two sweet ladies sold me and Julia (a girl I met there and became friends with) some of their stuff and I bought a great Chanel lipgloss. Until now, which is 3 days later I am still waiting for an official statement that told me what happened, there is one on the BFMW facebook page but it is basically just blabla. I know from hearing around and talking to a few people that people who lived around the store called the police, they checked all the papers and found out that the authorization was expired. Well, this was the 6th time this event took place, so I am not afraid to say that this is not supposed to happen. But there is always something good coming out of bad situations.
I met Julia, a really really sweet girl and became friends with her like I have written earlier and she asked me if I wanted to get lunch with her. And I had the best French food ever. I was never a fan of French things at all, but the food and atmosphere there, made me think. The restaurant is called "Le Bol" and you find it at Neuer Markt 14, Vienna/AT. If you're in Vienna, this is a definite hot-spot to go for a delicious salad and good self-made mint lemonade. The gâteau cake is to die for!!

xoxo Eva
